I’d like to buy a book I saw in the shop, but I can’t find it on the website, how can I buy it?

We no longer stock books online- however, if you’d like to contact us by email, or dm us on instagram, we’ll be happy to check for stock and send it out to you if it’s in stock.

I want to purchase a valuable item, but I’d like to know more about the condition of it, and how it would be shipped to me?

We are happy to answer any questions about the condition of rare and valuable items, and can provide extra photographs for particularly valuable items. All items will be wrapped in tissue paper and a bubble envelope to ensure their safety during shipping. Extra care will be taken with more valuable items.

I have a valuable book, can you evaluate it?

We don’t offer an evaluation service for rare books at this time, as it isn’t one of our main specialties. We tend to direct people with very valuable books towards Owl books in Kinlough or Trinity books in Carrick on Shannon.

I want to get credit for my comics/books/records, what are your procedures/ how much are they worth?

We ask that anyone bringing in books contacts us first, either by phone or on Instagram. When getting store credit for comics and records, we will need to take them in and get back to you after checking through them. We don’t yet have a hard and fast rule for the value of each record or comic, as it depends on a lot of factors, ranging from condition, edition, age, and stock levels.

As for books, we don’t offer credit right now, but we still take all donations we can. We do have one hard and fast rule though: we don’t accept sets of encyclopedias!

Can I stock my book/zine/record in your store?

We’re always pleased to hear about new publications and records we can support, and we’d love to hear from you! The best way to contact us is to visit instore, as these kinds of discussions are quite difficult to carry out remotely. I’d like to attend the Illuminations poetry night, how do I do that?
